Frequently Asked Questions
Question: My daughter is not a registered Girl Scout and/or she has a friend that is not a registered Girl Scout. Are they able to attend camp?
Answer: Yes! They would just need to register for the current Girl Scout year. The Girl Scout year runs October 1st - September 31st. There is a place on the camp registration form to register your daughter/friend as a Girl Scout if they are not an active Girl Scout. There is a $25 nonrefundable fee that goes to the Girl Scouts of Western Washington council. This does NOT sign your daughter up for a troop with regular meetings or outings, this is just for day camp. If you are interested in joining a troop, any of the camp's core staff can help you with that. :)
Frequently Asked Questions About Day Camp
Question: Who is my daughter's unit leader?
Answer: Your daughter's unit leader is a parent / community member / or Girl Scout leader that has been federally background checked, trained, and encouraged to provide a safe, exciting, educational, entertaining, and all around great camp experience. Each unit leader brings their own experiences and talents to share with your daughter.
Question: Do you take payments?
Answer: Yes. We will accept payments as long as the camper is paid in full by May 15th. There is also financial aid available through Girl Scouts of Western Washington. The form can be found HERE
Question: I would like to help, do you need volunteers?
Answer: We are always looking for volunteers!! Volunteers receive a $75 discount off regular camp fees for their registered Girl Scouts. We also offer a boys unit for $75 so that volunteers do not need to secure additional childcare (infants are not able to be accommodated). Please contact us using the 'Contact Us' tab above if you are interested in volunteering. Volunteers are expected to be registered members of Girl Scouts.
Question What is your cancellation policy?
Answer: All cancellations must be in the form of a written request sent to [email protected]. Girl Scout membership fee ($25) is nonrefundable. If cancellation notification is received on or before May 15th, the registration will be cancelled, and all money paid will be refunded minus a $25 administration fee per camper. If cancellation notification is received after May 15th, but before June 15th, the registration will be cancelled and 50% of money paid will be refunded. Starting on June 16th, the registration will be cancelled and NO refund will be given. If you applied for financial assistance through Girl Scouts of Western Washington and your request is denied (and your daughter is unable to attend camp), you must send a written request for cancellation.
